£250 Annual Club Sponsorship – Personal Accident (PA)
As part of your WUMA W1 Senior Instructor Membership, your club receives £250 in yearly sponsorship from WUMA. This sponsorship comes in the form of 10 free student licences (worth £25 each) to support your club and students.
By default, these 10 free licences are issued as standard student licences (£25 to the student). However, if your club prefers to operate on a Personal Accident (PA) Licence only system, you can now upgrade your free licences to PA:
Upgrade cost: £5 per licence (10 licences = £50 total)
Students pay £30 (instead of £25) for their licence, so you recoup the £5 at the point of sale
Your club still benefits from the full £250 sponsorship, and your students receive PA cover included by default
What is Personal Accident (PA) Cover?
PA cover gives students extra protection for injuries sustained while training, sparring, kata/forms, demos, or at WUMA competitions. It provides benefits such as broken bone cover, physiotherapy, hospital cash payments, and cover for more serious outcomes like permanent disablement.
In short:
Standard licences = Membership + Public Liability (covers instructor negligence only)
PA licences = Membership + Public Liability plus Personal Accident cover for injuries sustained during martial arts participation (e.g. sparring, training, kata, demos, WUMA competitions) that are not the instructor’s fault
